Met Monday......a dolly gets her toad stool!

Time for our ever fun Metamorphosis Monday!
Thank you to Susan at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ , for hosting us each week. Be sure and
check out her blog, which is great and see other Met Monday bloggers
who have joined in this week.

An old craft, I often make my own props for my dolls in my collection.
Several years ago my husband for Valentines Day ordered me this Fairy Doll I wanted.
So I decided she needed a toad stool stool to set on.
Before.......I took a plain clay flower pot turned upside down. Glued the tray it
comes with to it's bottom.

Then I padded the tray with fiberfill and batting, glued it on the underside
with hotglue.

Then I painted the bottom pot portion. I covered the top with
spotted cotton fabric I found and painted on large spots with craft paint.

After.......then my pretty doll had a place to rest.
I ended up making more than one of these, as I have several dolls in a large old antique oak store
display case and it is set up like a fairy land for the dolls.

Hi Linda...

Wow...what a creative idea!!! The clay flower pot and tray worked out to be the perfect mushroom for that precious little fairy to sit upon!!! It's darling...I love it!

Warmest wishes,
Chari
