Show & Tell Friday....Mother of Pearl!

A little late but not to late for Show and Tell Friday.
I am still trying to recoop from our recent out of town trip and so I am slow!
Be sure and check out our hostess's blog, Cindy at http://www.romantichome.blogspot.com/
for other show and tell posts this week!

I thought I would show some of my Mother of Pearl collection.
I recently found this great old large oval frame with curved glass in it for a great price.
So I had mat board in our bedroom accent color cut for the back and to mount my collection on.
(Click on any photo to enlarge and see closer)

I had most of these items in two smaller frames and decided it would be nice to combine them.
I have many items that I have collected over the years made out of mother of pearl.
There are writing instruments, jewelry, ...

Watch fobs and cuff links...

House hold items, many buttons and I am always on the look out for more.
Many of them uniquely carved ,  so old and delicate they  speak of
a different time and place.
