Show & Tell Friday......the stocking moves on!

Time for Show & Tell Friday , thanks to Cindy for hosting us.
Be sure and see her wonderful blog at,http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ , and see who else is showing and telling this week.
A couple of things to show you, first a favorite Christmas photo of my son Kyle.
This was his first Christmas every, he was 4 1/2 mths old .
We thought he wouldn't be that active or interested in anything.
We laid him on the floor under his Grandmother's Christmas tree, just under a hanging ornament ball. I have a progression of photos I took as he reached little by little to reach this glass ball. His eyes got as big as saucers and when excited his hands would just shake.
And then finally at this point he just lightly touched it to his enjoyment.
It was just so magical, I will never forget that Christmas.

And now here we are 25 Christmas years later and this little baby is now grown, married and with a baby boy of his own on the way.
I had to go see him today, have a bite of lunch with him, connect a bit. Plus it was time to pass on his containers of ornaments to his home and his Christmas stocking as well.
I made his stocking for him for his first Christmas and for use at all the
Christmas times since then.
Now it is at his home to use. I made his now wife her stocking too one year when they were dating.
I made it from double sided quilted Christmas fabric.
The front of the stocking where I hand appliqued felt letters and holy leaves on
plus a little bear. Then little brass bells and beads etc. were used to accent . Trimmed it out
with green lace trim around the top and put a Lovingly made by Mommy label inside.

And the back side with a rocking horse, gingerbread man and tree.
All were hand sewn on and embellished with beads and buttons etc.
It is a little hard to see it move on to his own house, sniff sniff, but it is the normal progression
of things. Next it will be time to make their little boy a stocking!!

Don't photos sometimes take you back years? They are so precious.
