What do flu shots and thrift stores have in common?

What do flu shots and thrift stores have in common? Well probably nothing.

But when I had to get my flu and pneumonia shot yesterday then I had to stay around the area for about 20 mins in case I had a reaction or something.

And right around the corner from my doctor's clinic is a good thrift store.....so there you go.

I got some thrifting in while killing that time. I found some goodies too!

I went with shopping for resale in mind, as I plan to work on eBay again this Fall and Winter.

But sometimes I find things I want to keep!!!

I don't know how that happens, LOL!

First of all I found this service for 4 of another Johnson Bros. English China, Marlow pattern.

Pretty and actually will look good with some place mats etc. that a friend gave me recently.

Tablescape coming....

I found another bread plate or platter, also a reproduction by the same

organization as the first one I found. But I don't care. I paid so little for them that

they are worth it. They are repros but off of org. molds that old ones

were made from in the 1800s.
They both will be added to my collection of bread plates.

I found this one a week or so ago and even though a reproduction still worth the

$3 I paid for it.

And my favorite find of the day an Early American Pressed Glass

Child's plate.

This piece made by U.S. Glass Co. about 1891.

They called them "teaching" plates because they would teach a child

their numbers, alphabet and time.

I still can't believe I found this piece for 99 cents and one is listed right now on eBay for a BIN

price of $84.99.
