Show and Tell Friday time , thank you to Cindy for being our hostess at,http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ ,.
Be sure and check out her fabulous blog and all those who are Showing and Telling
this week!
I was reliving some of my Halloween past this week. So thought I would show and tell about
something from about 45 years ago.
My first Halloween costume!
This is the one I had when I was about 5 years old.
A fairy princess costume.
It has seen much better days and I couldn't figure out a way to take photos of it looking
more magazine like. It is what it is, old and wrinkled, probably like me, LOL!
Remember these old acetate ones with cardboard accessories.
Probably only cost a few dollars back then.
But we did also make many of our costumes back in the day, it was always a challenge to
come up with something but fun.
Boy have the costumes gotten more elaborate in present day.
My mother has a hard time parting with things, sometimes that is good and sometimes bad, but at least we have some things from our childhood because of it.

My goodness, what a wonderful thing to still have your costume.. I know you must cry when you look at it. Tears of joy of course.

this is fun to still have your very first halloween costume! awesome!
have a good weekend!
That's so great that you still have a costume from your childhood. My Mum is definitely someone who "cleans out" regualarly so it's rare to have a lot of more "everyday things."
Enjoy your memories!

BTW No dressing up for me this year.
Yes, this poor thing has seen better days. I am sort of afraid to iron it but might try it on an acetate setting. Been in my cedar chest a long time with some other momentos from my past.
