Show & Tell Friday....a bit of a designing dream!!

It is time for Show & Tell Friday,
thanks to Kelli at,http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ , for hosting us.
Check out her blog for more fun Show & Tellers this week!!

For show and tell , thought I would use my drawings of our dream addition to our home.
Hope it is ok to use my these for my show and tell, I wanted to see what you all thought!
This is something we would like to do , when we are financially able.
I am waiting for that darn winning lotto ticket to be mine, LOL!
(Click on any photo to enlarge)
I have just been messing with drawing this out for a while now.
I have it all designed in my head , know what we want.
We would add about onto the end of the house where the living room is now plus some on the front for a larger living room and new entry area.
We would put the formal dining area where the living room is now and eating area from kitchen where dining room is now. Then knock a hole into the dining room wall to the new addition of a
recessed or sunken living room with open beamed ceilings and a new entry way ( all of that to the right in the drawing.
I would put work island in kitchen where the table is now and built ins with desk on the one wall by the island.
Our existing open cabinet in the kitchen would move to the now dining room and so would the table. Formal dining room would move to where the living room is now giving us much more room to entertain and dine with more people, for when family and friends are here.

A couple of the elevation drawings.
Outside wall of house now after the opening and built ins done, open
beam ceilings, recessed floor in this area would be done with hardwoods.
And I would have me my brick red walls!

Entry area wall with built in closets, window seat,
and picture window, open beam ceilings.

Hi Linda...

My friend, I just loved looking at your remodeling/building plans! I enlarged the photos so I could really see all the details...what a great space...I love the layout! Looking at your plans brought back many childhood memories...my mom designed homes and my dad built them. Every time I see the blueprint paper laying out...I knew that we were fixin' to move! Hehe!

Well my friend, your plans look great...I wish you the very best in your building endeavours!!! Thanks for sharing them with us!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

Yes, its fun, You have done what we did, we drew new layouts! As we gone along, we have changed many, many designs. We see what works better for us, I still thinking of making another doorway to the back and a small hallway, but there is time. I hope yours goes faster than mine! lol With hubby and I doing the work. I will be 90 before it is finished! lol
I love brick walls, I wish I had one behind my wood heater.

It is good to dream and to put your thoughts down so you can see what you want. I hope it happens for you soon.

I've always wanted a window seat. I love that particular drawing of the built-in.
