Met Monday.....picture this!

Time for Metamorphosis Monday.
Thank you to Susan our hostess at, http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/2009/06/welcome-to-23rd-metamorphosis-monday.html, for bringing us together each week.
Fun to see what others are up to!

Before.........picture this, a picture frame and a tea or guest towel.
I got these frames on sale at Michaels for $15 each.
Got the linen monogrammed guest or tea towels
for $5 each at a gift shop.
I had ideas of making some pretty pillows with the monograms but then got this idea.
Why not frame them!?
We always have plenty of pretty pillows to take off the bed anyway.
(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Close up of the monogram, I did an R for Ron and an L for Linda, moi!
I like the detail around the letters.

After.....(for some reason it turned my photo again, frustrating)!,
I did an initial for both my husband and I.
I ironed the linen tea towel really well to get the wrinkles and fold lines
out before framing.
Cut the excess off which I can always use to make sachets with.

One way I found to get the linen piece really tight in the frame is to anchor it
down inside on the back of the matting with double stick tape.
I pulled it really tight all around like when doing an upholstery job on
a chair seat. Works really well!

I plan to hang these on either side of our bed above the night stands and lamps.
Hopefully next week I will be back with my little Keller Iron boudoir chair redone, working on it, but haven't found the right fabric to cover it in yet.
