This week thought I would Show & Tell some of my Easter Milk Glass Novelties I have collected

in my milk glass collecting travels.

They are some of my favorites in my overall collection, because most are Victorian in era and also because they were usually given as something personal or as a gift.

I have several Milk Glass Bunny or Rabbit Covered Animal Dishes, many figural plates , egg cups , baskets and eggs.

They always come out this time of year from a cabinet to grace the open country shelves

in my kitchen.

My Easter milk glass collection also includes baskets by various makers, these two are both

by Imperial Glass Co. Also several Rabbit or Bunny covered animal dishes, which are very collectible. Animal dishes being one of the most sought after for collectors.

I just found another little egg cup ( center of the photo) with the handle and chick

face coming out of it at a antique mall for $3 , good find.

I only have a few blown glass Easter eggs in my collection. They are very collectible and

desirable to collectors. Many were given as gifts especially in the 1800s.

Another favorite plate with little chicks on it. Still has most of it's

original paint work also. Easter Greetings was written across the top.

Wonderful shell and scroll border around the edge on this one.

Bunny plate, I was trying to get a close up to show you the 2 D mold work to this one, as it

sticks out from the plate. Bunny with fur that almost looks real and clover.

One of my favorite finds. Westmoreland Specialty Co. Chick Emerging from Egg

on Basket Base with most of it's original paint.

Would have had more flowers and maybe some words painted in the front round panel.

But in amazing condition concidering this is a Victorian piece.

Years ago I was out for a girls day with a friend. She and I were antiquing etc.

We drove past a garage sale sign and I said " you want to stop?", sure she said.

Alot of things were just layed out on blankets on the ground under trees at this sale.

I looked past a couple blankets and spied this little beauty setting there on the ground on the blanket. I moved past another garage saler quickly and grabbed it up, so thrilled to have found such a treasure just laying there!

I didn't even question the sellers $8 price tag as I knew what I had.

Bunny plates, same plate, one with most of it's original paint and one without paint.

The one on the left is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.
