in my milk glass collecting travels.
They are some of my favorites in my overall collection, because most are Victorian in era and also because they were usually given as something personal or as a gift.
I have several Milk Glass Bunny or Rabbit Covered Animal Dishes, many figural plates , egg cups , baskets and eggs.

They always come out this time of year from a cabinet to grace the open country shelves
in my kitchen.

by Imperial Glass Co. Also several Rabbit or Bunny covered animal dishes, which are very collectible. Animal dishes being one of the most sought after for collectors.
I just found another little egg cup ( center of the photo) with the handle and chick
face coming out of it at a antique mall for $3 , good find.
dish with chick in egg
cover.
desirable to collectors. Many were given as gifts especially in the 1800s.
original paint work also. Easter Greetings was written across the top.
Wonderful shell and scroll border around the edge on this one.
sticks out from the plate. Bunny with fur that almost looks real and clover.
on Basket Base with most of it's original paint.
Would have had more flowers and maybe some words painted in the front round panel.
But in amazing condition concidering this is a Victorian piece.
Years ago I was out for a girls day with a friend. She and I were antiquing etc.
We drove past a garage sale sign and I said " you want to stop?", sure she said.
Alot of things were just layed out on blankets on the ground under trees at this sale.
I looked past a couple blankets and spied this little beauty setting there on the ground on the blanket. I moved past another garage saler quickly and grabbed it up, so thrilled to have found such a treasure just laying there!
I didn't even question the sellers $8 price tag as I knew what I had.
The one on the left is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.
Both are marked on the back Pat. Applied For.

Every time I see milk glass I'm reminded of my growing up years as my mother had a lot of it. Very pretty!

Your milk glass collection is truly superb. So often I see collections of that cheap stuff you get from the florist, not that there's anything wrong with that, but yours are in a whole different category. Yours are a treasure.
Visiting you via Kelli's Show and Tell blog train!

Linda, What an adorable collection of milk glass. I just started collecting a few pieces myself. It's amazing, we rec'd an heirloom vase of my husbands Grandma last Sept., and ever since I've been drawn to it. Yours is so fabulous, especially the ones with the bunnies! ;) ~CC Catherine
Beautiful bunnies! I inherited a lot of milkglass from my mom, but have not yet had time to unpack the boxes and see what's in them ... now I'm hoping for some bunnies along with the hobnails and candy dishes :o)

I absolutely love your Easter Milk Glass. I have learned so much from you! :D Jewel
Holy cow, Linda! You have the biggest milkglass collection EVER!!! My daughter and I went to Snohomish today....not far, huh?.....anyway, there was a little antique store on the main street that had an adorable little milkglass basket. Very cute......I think it was under 15.00......
Thanks for your kind words about my little guy. I love him so much. I rarely cancel a Tuesday, but if I do he asks his mom where they're going to go......and says "it IS my special day".....I hope every Tuesday all of his life he'll remember these days and feel loved. During the summer I keep him from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday night. I love having the time with him. They grow up so darn fast. I don't want to miss a THING! I even go to his Dr. appointments.
Hugs to you!
Spencer
