Time for Tablescape Thursday, thanks to our hostess Susan
Be sure and check out her fantastic blog and see who else is setting a
great table this week!
I got our kitchen set up for Labor Day weekend but then hadn't had time to show it last week.
I thought it was time to get in one last Patriotic Hoorah!
I found this cute flag post thing at the thrift store recently, it will come in handy for 4th of July also.
I started by draping the table with some overly wide table runners
I made from some vintage looking bunting fabric I got this Summer at the
local Quilt Fabric Store.
It makes it feel like a table cloth but not.
For the place setting I used; burgundy red or brick red place mats I already had, cream colored napkins that were a wedding present tucked into little star buckets for holders, our burgundy handled flatware, flag goblets I found this Summer at a thrift store, layered transfer ware plates both burgundy red and blue for the dinnerware and there you have it.
For the centerpiece I put antique flags I have collected into the holes of a glass flower frog that I put down inside a pot I had.
And set a hand made wooden flag there too.
Some of my country or patriotic pieces of milk glass are used
as accent or serving pieces on the table as well as a patriotic basket for bread or rolls.
I think we are ready for some good old American food!
What do you think?

Hooray for the red, white and blue! Very pretty patriotic table...love all the transferware.
I especially love the way you've layered the wonderful transferware! And what a great table runner you made! You'll enjoy using that on all the national holidays.
What a pretty table. Those linens are unique and look wonderful on the table. Your transferware is lovely.
What an adorable table...you do us proud! Do you ever do an american/british mix? We have both flags hanging outside. After all, the colors go so well together!! :-)
Love the dishes...Really pretty tablescape!
