I am thinking of redoing our guest room.
It is sort of country and red , white and blue right now, as I have alot of
patriotic things and an antique quilt in those colors on the bed.
But I have a painting I love, this beach one that use to be in our master bedroom.

I bought it after my brother passed away, as it inspires me and reminds me
of the Footprints poem.
And when I lost my brother, I definitely needed God to carry me!!
So I now have this above the guest room bed.
And I am wondering about bedding.
I am thinking of bringing out alot of beachyness to this room because of the painting.
I was thinking of a mostly white quilt with some celadon or apple green trim and design border on it.
What do you think?
And then maybe a folded antique quilt at the foot that has more of the colors in it.
I need your opinion.
Here is what I was thinking of; either of these quilts?
I like this second one as I can still get the matching shams for it.

Ok, so I think I like the second bedding better. Matlasse? I think? the scrolling seems more "Queenish" to me. Could you mix the two?
I was thinking of mixing the two too. But if i had to chose it would be the second one. Have u ever looked at Linen Source. They have some pretty quilts too.. I get there catalog but u can look online too.. And they always have sales..
Loving the second photo. Why not paint the room in a lighter green that is in the bedding. Then use a lot of whites.Look at the thrift stores for old piece of furniture to paint white, and display some shells snd sea side things.
