Metamorphosis Monday...door to chalkboard transformation.

Metamorphosis Monday time!
BEFORE...
I actually had time to do a project for me lately.
One of the vendors at the Antique Mall where I have a space had these great
old cabinet doors for sale.
One sold, so I thought I had better get one soon before the last one was gone.
Here it is taped off and ready to paint, with it's old ( not sure if it was lead paint or not, one reason I didn't sand it) dirty paint on it.
It cost me $20.

AFTER...
Here it is after I painted the center panel with chalkboard paint and sort of sponge painted the outer edge with the same off white paint as is in our kitchen, so it looks aged.

It came with it's old Fleur De Lis design hinges still on, so I left
them on as I like them.

Also came with an old Black glass knob too, so I left that as well,
that all adds character to me.
Now to shuffle in the kitchen, as I want to hang it in here somehow.
I added hanging hardware to the back of it.

for Metamorphosis Monday, thanks to our hostess there, Susan.
Check out who else is transforming something this week!

Looks great - You did good!
I think I am the last in blog land to not have a chalk board, but I just don't have room.
Have a great week.
