For Show & Tell Friday I thought I would show one of
my newest collections, my Art Nouveau Jewelry Caskets or Boxes.
I have 4 of them in my collection so far.
I love these little pieces of history, from another time, my old soul likes
that period and much of it's ornamentation.
I adopted a rule from another collector and so it makes the search fun for these, as I don't pay more than $25 a piece for them, which is really a good deal on one.
The smallest one I have so far which has most of it's silk lining inside and is about the size of a ring box. I only paid $15 for this one.
And my latest addition to the collection, found at Bayview Antiques in Everett, WA. I just had to have it when I found it, it was on sale!
I have them setting on the old French 2 drawer chest I inherited and now use
as my jewelry chest. When the collection grows I will have to think of a new way to display them.
Thanks to Cindy for hosting us again this week at http://www.romantichome.blogspot.com/
Be sure and check out her fabulous blog and see who else is showing and telling something fun!

Beautiful, beautiful treasures.
My Show n Tell Link---where it's kinda fodder for the National Enquirer Tabloids. Do stop by if you can, I'd love your opinion.
Happy New Year

Take Care,

Hi Linda!
How are you? Long time no chat! I spied your post from out of the corner of my eye over at Cindys because I LOVE art nouveau boxes! Did I rub off on you maybe? *winks* Just like you I won't spend more than $25 for them. I used to be able to pick them up for a couple of bucks but not anymore. I'm now pretty much out of space...but I still want more! it's a disease this collecting thing isn't it? Your 4 are all beauties. It's getting hard to find them with their silk linings. And your french table is gawgy! Vanna
These are just lovely! I see you are a PNW neighbor :) I am visiting from Cindy's!
