Tablescape Thursday...a bit of Halloween magic!

Is everyone getting in the Witchy Poo, Scary Boo and
Happy Halloween mood?
I hope so because it is almost here.
And it is time this week for Tablescape Thursday.
So I thought I would show my Halloween table in the
Kitchen.

My dear friend Marilyn sent me a new pretty spooky
table cloth for a gift and so I had to use it.
It is black with silver spider web pattern all over it.
Then I topped it with an orange and black embroidered table square that was a thrift store find years ago.
I like using table squares set like this as then they serve as your
place mats as well.

Then I used our black and bejeweled chargers
that I got last year at Michael's.
Next some orange black and white glitter Halloween plates that I
got at Party City last year.
And in the center of those some little black and white striped
dishes I found for $1 each at Michael's this year.
They hold a little pumpkin candle and the place cards.
The place cards were made with cup labels I got at Michaels and
stuck on card stock and then cut out.

I printed off a scary menu from the Internet and put it on the table in
a black wire holder.
I used our everyday flatware, some black linen napkins in our black stemmed
glasses.

Little glittered pumpkin candy cups will hold treats when
we have company.
A glass pumpkin I had sets in silver plated wine bucket
stuffed with orange foil grass for the center piece . He is topped with  a paper mache  witch hat I made this year.

For a final touch I added witch hats to the corners of each chair, so those invited can dress up and join the spootacular party when we have it!

We at Queen's Castle thank Susan at
for hosting us.
Be sure and check out her Spootacular blog
and see who else is sharing this week for
Tablescape Thursday!

hi Linda, this is a spooky yet inviting table, but I'm not sure about that menu! Maybe I'll pass on the food and just enjoy the atmosphere! I like the table square set on the diagonal--that's a great idea. Linda

The tabletopper and the orange and black plate are both really good looking pieces...pretty sophisticated for a Halloween table. I like your tablescape a lot, and I'm not a huge fan of Halloween tables. Thank you for sharing your darling design. Cherry Kay
