Tablescape Thursday...Summer Green!

It is nice to be back to Tablescape Thursday. I have missed this day and look forward to seeing all
the great tablescapes at Susan's blog http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
Been a busy Summer for us around Castle Queen, so sometimes I don't get time to do
all I want or need to do for that matter!

This week, a simple kitchen table scape using one of my favorite colors of green.
Celadon green or Apple green as I guess many call it, I love this color, especially with chocolate brown.
I call it Summer Green, always makes me think of Summer but really is a great green to use year around, it can take me into Fall now.
(Click on any photo to enlarge)

I used our chocolate brown place mats with the green napkins.
Our everyday flatware works well here.

I started out with the first layer of dinner plates being our
Rosanna "Le Famille" toile pattern. I love these plates.

Next I put cream colored "B" salad plates that have a nice textural border and center.

And on top, even though not for food use, I used these cute green and brown votive
holders that I thought could double as muffin, roll or tart holders.
I found them at a gift shop in Bothell and well since they are crowns, had to have them.

I used our brown Walmart water goblets and also some
Green goblets I found new at the thrift store for the stemware.

The cream colored napkin rings were a gift from my mother
, a friend of hers made them years ago.

In the center I used a rusty brown urn or planter like piece with a birds nest in it.
Then topped it off with one of my etched cloches.
Simple but pretty!
Hope you have enjoyed my table scape, see you around the table next time!

The green and brown combination is so pretty. I don't think I've ever tried anything like it, so I am inspired to try it. Very nicely done.

I love this color combination! I don't have anything brown, but now I think I need some! Great layering, too!

Oh my gosh! We're we separated at birth? I have been following this blog for ten months and I have never seen anyone else use these toile dishes until you and I both showed them today. I'm #96! Don't you just love them? I also own those green goblets and the same placemats AND my name is Linda!!!

I am completely IN LOVE with that cloche centerpiece!!!

I never used to be a brown person until a few years ago. Then, I sort of fell in love and never looked back. It looks so good with so many colors. Love your dishes, too.
