Time for ever fun Show & Tell Friday, thanks to Cindy at, http://romantichome.blogspot.com/, for hosting us.
Be sure and check out her fabulous blog and see others who are showing and telling!
Well I wasn't sure what I would show and tell until I got these 2 new pieces.
Sort of an early Valentine's to myself.
February is a rough month for me to get through, lost my brother 3 years ago the day before
Valentine's day and it is also his BD month as well.
Still tough on me! I say it doesn't get better, just different!
So I work through it but I take extra care of myself this month, so why not a little retail therapy too.
First I found this bird cage on stand at Marshalls and I just couldn't resist it!
It said take me home.
Even the legs have nice detail and the top opens up with an end door.
Not that that is what I am going to put in it but one of my large fairy dolls does fit inside it.
And #2 Something I had been looking for for sometime, a little cabinet for in our upstairs
hallway.
I found this old one at Silvana Mercantile today for $33.
It was the perfect size.
I had something else in this spot but it wasn't quite right and also I wanted to use it someplace else eventually.
It is great because is opens up, one folding door and the other door opens too
with a shelf inside for storage etc.
Of course it needs a paint job but I can do that and maybe with some of my detail painting on the front panels too.
So another Met Monday project!
Our hall is not wide like newer homes so this was perfect, just what I wanted.
So happy I finally find what I was looking for.
