Tablescape Thursday......even the "kids" get a Valentine table too!

Time for Tablescape Thursday, thanks to our hostess Susan at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ .
Be sure and check out her blog, which is fabulous, and see all the tablescape posters and the magic they create!

My tablescape for this week begins with this gorgeous antique table topper I found years ago and really love. I never tire of looking at it and all it's details.
There are little cherubs doing all sorts of little things but even the border scrolls and flowers etc. are just stunning.
I believe it to be Filet Lace, not machine done, you can tell by looking at it, edges etc.
(Click on any photo to enlarge)

Each year at Valentines time I set a little table for my dolls to have a Valentine tea party with.
This little wood child's table was a find at a flea market , hubby bought it for me. It has red trim paint on it. I later found the bent wood little old red child's chairs to go with it.
The "girls" gathered for their Valentine Tea Party, even being watched over by
a pretty Cupid too!

There are candies, cookies, cupcakes and chocolate cherry topped goodies
everywhere!
The little demitasse tea spoons were passed down from Ron's grandmother to us.
I always use them for my dollies now!

A pretty red vase holds red roses and many goodies are in the pretty glass compotes ready to be eaten!

A gorgeous vinyl doll with glass eyes, real hair is one of the party goers.

Olivia, a full bodied porcelain Monika Levenig doll is one that is seated for the party.

A sweet little antique white child's tea set is used to serve the tea with.
Antique child's spooner holds extra spoons and a box of "chocolates" awaits being eaten.
I collect alot of antique children's dishes which work well with dolls.
I have many glass pieces including the glass candle sticks used here.

If the "girls" don't have enough goodies on the table, there is always this
yummy "cake" waiting for them also.
Mommy made this for them from an old empty Valentine candy box.

Its a Valentine party for sure!

This is so sweeet! A great way to display your collection of dolls, at least I assume there are more. If there are. do different ones get to come each year? Your tablescape brought a smile to my face today. Thank you for sharing the love. Joan @ American By Candlelight
