Tablescape Thursday......a French feel in the kitchen.

Gee has it been a week already? I guess so, wow time flies right
back to our tables. So time for Tablescape Thursday time and thank you to Susan at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ , for hosting us. Go to her blog to see others who are joining in
this fun inspiring day of each week!
Well I had my tablescape done and all ready to post way early today and then bam, computer problems hit.
So I did some sewing, mending, working on crafts and housework in between checking and seeing if I could get connected.
Finally I tried something and it worked and I got that taken care of, gees!
Since after Christmas things were packed away and I have been getting the house back in order recently , putting the usual things out and redoing my kitchen shelves ( which I love by the way), thought I would do a little simple tablescape in the kitchen.
(Click on any photo to enlarge and see closer)

I have been loving putting out my usual dishes again on our big open shelf cabinet in the kitchen.
This is one of my favorite things I ever bought at an antique store.
I only paid $250 for it and it is soooo worth it!

Thought I would set up for a sweet
"Frenchy" garden feeling lunch or dinner in the kitchen this week.
The olive colored "Frenchy" stripe table linens were some I found on
clearance last year at Target. Got the table clothe and like 8 napkins all for less than $10.
Check those sale bins!!or end caps at stores , it pays off.
The tall green wine glasses were a find this Fall at Target, I love the color, they seem to go with many things.

And the mystery turning photo is happening again, oh well.
For the place setting I used my Queen's Hooker Fruit patterned dinnerware that was a Marshalls find last year.
When I bought this I only bought the plum and pear plates, as those were crops my grandparents use to raise on their farm.
I used our everyday Oneida "Caitlynn" flatware, my pale green place mats found at Marshalls last year and some green metal napkin rings that were wedding gifts when we got married.

The centerpiece is just some topiary things I had that I either put in pots or dishes or on
elevated cake plates.
A couple were found at thrift stores and the big artichoke looking one I bought at a local
craft store.

I used a couple of my milk glass pear shaped dishes as accents.

Even though all the greens are a bit different they seem to all go together.

This makes me want to cook some French food.
Maybe a some french onion soup, a quiche and a bit of salad would be nice.
Followed by a chocolate mousse for dessert.
I make all of those quite well if I do say so myself!

A very French table -- those are very pretty dishes and I love the tone on tone stripe of the tablecloth! That caught my eye right away!

Of course, so did the cupboard -- it is perfect and cannot believe what a find it was!

Your hutch with the dishware on it is fantastic! I swooned when I saw your milkglass collection. Your table setting is lovely and I am also very fond of your green glassware.

Oh Linda, I love this! Those linens are beautiful! I always check the end caps at Target, but I didn't see these at my Target. Those dishes are soooo pretty. I always love seeing your hutch. It is just the best, and I would have thought you had paid a lot more than that for it. I love the way it looks like storage, but the way you arrange your storage looks so beautiful. laurie

This is all so pretty. I love your dishes and the way they display so nicely on your cupboard. I really love everything on your table and especially the centerpiece -- I sort of like eclectic centerpieces and your's makes a lovely presentation. Those dishes are wonderful -- don't we love our dishes?
