Hope I am not to late for Show and Tell Friday.
Since it is almost time for Valentine's Day
I wanted to show this cute little vintage cupid flower or card holder I
found a couple months back at the thrift store.
I thought it was darling and has me on the hunt for more Vintage Valentines
Day things now.
It holds my antique Valentines nicely too.
Christmas time.
I inherited a Thorens Swiss Music box from my Great Aunt.
She had been a WAC in WWII and afterwards loved part of Bavaria so much that she stayed there and lived there for 30 years before coming back to the U.S.
This little music box plays songs on little metal discs that have teeth , the little rolling arm or mechanical mechanism under the discs hits those teeth and the song plays.
It really has a larger than it's size sound. I have a whole box of different discs, many of the titles in German.
Our ancestory on that side of the family is part Swiss and German also, so to have things from Switzerland is nice!
I really love to play the Christmas ones at Christmas time with this.
Hope everyone has a good Friday and weekend!
Be sure and check out the other Show & Tell posts at Cindy's blog,http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ ,
and enjoy the fun!
