Tablescape Thursday......all that glitters is Gold at Christmas!

Time for some Christmas time Tablescape Thursday posting. Thank you to Susan at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ , for
hosting us. Be sure and see her fabulous blog and the other posters this week!

I had Gold in mind this year at Christmas for the formal dining room.
So here goes.
First a view looking in from the living room.
Chandelier and buffet lamp shades are black with gold lining but sometimes photograph differently.
(Click on any photo to enlarge and see more detail)

I decided to put two small urn trees on the buffet in place of the buffet lamps that
are usually there.

The view of the living room tree from the dining room table.

The table setting; Badgley Mischka "Tempest" tablecloth and napkins from Macys, gold plate chargers I found new in box at thrift store last year, Charter Club "Grand Buffet Gold" china dinner plates from Macys, "Caitlynn" Onieda flatware ( don't have any gold flatware), crystal prism napkin rings found at ROSS, Gold band "Biltmore" crystal stemware found in the Spring at Marshalls.

And entire view of the table with centerpiece.

On the buffet between the trees I used all sorts of gold and glass things I had.
This reindeer pulling a sleigh were gifts years ago, I spray painted them gold for a new look.
My etched glass beverage server got filled with gold ornaments and vintage glass beaded garlands.

Gold mercury glass ornaments filled the sleigh and rest on top of glass prism trimmed
candle holders.

Mercury glass ornaments and glass prisms and other sparkles rest on
prism trimmed cake stands in the center piece on the table.
The prism trimmed metal cake stands and also candle stands were a great find at Marshalls this Summer. They gave me the idea for this setting.
An old glass clock case on a pedestal stand holds a gold glittered bird underneath.

Some old and some vintage gold items under my etched cloches on the table in
the center piece.

The etagere holds a gold metal tree that I had from last year but this year decorated with
glass lamp prisms.

I moved the buffet lamps to the etagere with the "Prism" tree for some extra light and
sparkle.

The trees on the buffet were trimmed out with many small glass mercury ornaments I had.
Also used some gold baroque ornaments and snowflake ornaments I got on sale after Christmas last year and these gold and rain drop crystal garlands wrapped around them.
Then filled in with sprigs of glitter gold foliage and extra lamp prisms dripping from branches
I used up some sheer white with gold glitter wired edge ribbon I had in my craft room.
Had the local florist shop make me big bows for the top of the trees.
I also covered the wire and chain on the chandelier with greenery and put a matching bow there as well.
The urns that the trees came in got a dose of Antique Gold spray paint.

The view from the kitchen door way.
I really want to find or make some long to the floor under table cloths
for my table but haven't found or done so yet.
I love that layered look on round tables.
My/Our Christmas gift was 2 more dining room chairs for our set, while they were on sale.
Now we have 6 which is a nice number.
Looking in again from the living room

Next week for Christmas I will show a slight variation on this too, some add ons that will change it some.
