Tablescape Thursday.....a Bit of Fall in the Kitchen

Time for our every fun Tablescape Thursday....thanks to Susan for being a great hostess each week. Be sure and check out her blog at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ , and see other wonderful Tablescape posts this week!

Needed to add a bit of color and Fall to the Kitchen this week.
So I used the tablecloth I found at the thrift store a couple weeks ago for $5 as my base.
I used my gold thrift store chargers ( found 2 brand new boxes of 4 each for $5 a box),
my new olive green handled flatware ( from Marshalls), stem ware I had, new fleur de lis print napkin towels( I bought these for my birthday at Curly Willow in Snohomish WA.) with fleur de lis napkin rings, and our pretty 222Fifth Fleur Rouge dinner plates ( also a Marshalls find that I had).

A view from above.
(Click on any photo to enlarge and see closer)
I still want to paint or stencil a Fleur De Lis pattern on
the white pumpkin on the pedestal in the back corner.
I put some faux sunflowers and red pears in an old Imperial "Leaf" patterned milk glass epergne in the center.
Then on either side I put my new Jim Shore Pilgrims.
These were a belated anniversary gift from the hubby.

What is not to love about Red?
Especially this brick red color.
I am going to have a room with this color on the walls one day!

And everything still blends nicely with my pretty old oak upholstered chairs.

A view from above of the center piece.
This would probably be pretty with wheat in the center and pumpkins in place of the pears too.

Close up of Mrs. Pilgrim.

Close up of Mr. Pilgrim.

Now lets put some warm food and bread out and eat!!
Happy Fall everyone!

wow--so much prettier when you enlarge the photos....I need to get some chargers!! You did get a great deal!! So what is holding you back from getting a red room? I had one for a while but I found it a bit too dark for me, even though it was broken up by a white fireplace and some white trim and white doors. I enjoyed it for about 2 years , but then I needed to lighten up--it was a hard decision because I did enjoy the red---just a tad to dark to live with.
