Before......I got this old photograph in an antique frame I bought at a local antique shop.
I had been wanting to do more with her but what?
Then it came to me, time to collage her, she needs so whimsy and froo froo!
(Click on any photos to enlarge and see closer)
But I am in love with this old frame, they are getting harder and harder to find and if
you do they are usually expensive. I got this with her in it for $32.
I bought that was already in an antique oval frame. She is not a family photo, so I figured
no harm in doing this to her. Plus I rather think she liked upgrading her status from
a regular person to a Queen!
Bits of scrap booking things, old paper, old ribbon, old jewelry etc. were used for this fun
project.
crowned in all her glory.
The banner I made to go across it reads;
.....always be true to your inner Queen!
I like it, adds a bit of whimsy to the bedroom!
Gives the photo some dimension too with things I added.
I am debating about whether the frame needs a bit of a white distressing or wash over
the gold to make it stand out better. I don't usually like to do that with old
frames but in this case it wouldn't matter if I did.
What do you great design and decor Queens think?
The other oblong frame is going to get a redo too, I don't like the print
that came in it but haven't found one or made something to fit it yet.

Cute, cute, cute!!!! Love it! :D Jewel
What a cute makeover. She did need some sprucing up :)
How cute, she truly is a queen now!
Wonderful! I like it in the grouping. On the color, I'm not sure...if it were lighter it would stand out more, but maybe the contrast with the bed is good like it is now. I can't decide.
That is so cute! What a fun project. laurie
