Yes, there is a real place called that, it isn't just words in a cartoon.
Anyway, my MIL just sent me link to this site, as this person is chronicling alot
of old photos and ads from Walla Walla.

How far is Walla Walla from Tacoma? My sister is in Tacoma and I love Washington state. Would love to retire there... but my roots run too deep here in Southern Cal. I visit her as often as I can though!
I remember going to Walla Walla College for a conference in 1992. It was great to get to see another part of the country and see historic places related to the westward pioneers.
