Metamorphosis Monday.....Phase 1 Master Bath redo.

Time for the ever popular Met Monday.
Thank you to our hostess Susan at,http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/ .
Be sure and
check out her blog and all the other bloggers who are posting this week!
Master bathroom redo.
Tub and toilet area is separated by a door from the sink vanity area and the
master bedroom.
So I usually do this area a little differently. It is small so needs to stay light to
seem bigger.
I am going gold with antique white in it this time.
Before.......
Our tub surround, very lacey and Victorian in feel.
Soft pinks and a hint of green with antique white was the color scheme.
I had it this way for a long time, now with the master bedroom redo, I wanted an update.
So we are beginning that too.
( Click on any photo to enlarge)

On and around the cabinet I had alot of Victorian things.

The old light fixture with not much bling or enough chandiness for me!!

After .....so far.
We had put in the new old chandy light fixture with ceiling medallion a while ago.

The silk look drapes to put around the tub surround I found on sale rack at Lowes
for $13 a panel.
The embroidered shower curtain was a Marshalls find.
I plan to paint the tub surround antique white too like the cabinet.

The tray I did a Met Monday post on before with its vintage
gold silk wallpaper insert. It rests on an old distressed carved table I had
with some towels and other things to use beside the tub.
The icky green blue carpeting will go and this area will be tiled.

I bought an extra sale drape panel to make the window valance from.
I will also use part of it to drape off the tub access panel.

The cabinets are going to get painted out antique white.
The rack with the old mirrors etc. in it and the towel rack were an
easy spray paint redo to gold.
More will follow with this room.

Love your redo. The last picture really caught my eye because I have some vintage mirrors that I couldn't decide how to display...you just solved that problem...thanks!!

Very pretty. I love the architectural piece over the tub and the chandelier is so sweet.
