better get with it again!
Thank you to Kelli at the above link for hosting this fun event on Fridays!
Please visit her fun blog and see others who are posting their show and tells!
Chari's blog gave me this idea for Show and Tell Friday, sea shells.
When I was young and in Camp Fire Girls we had to do things to earn badges and beads etc.
One time one of the things was to create a collection. When I was young I did it in some old shoe boxes. So later when I found that old collection at my parents home ( yes my Mom saved everything!!) I decided to put them in nice shadow box frames.
Then I also got some of the shells my Grandmother collected in her travels and put them in one as well. I labeled them all with their actual names etc.
These hang on an entry wall in the guest bedroom that is all done in Red White and Blue.
I also have some of my Grandmother's big shells as well, ones to big to do this with but fun to set around or use in vignettes.

Hi Linda...
My friend, I was so excited to see your fabulous shell collection...since I've had shells "on the mind" the last couple of days...hehe! Of course, I had to enlarge each photo so I could get a good look at the shells and their names! It was so interesting!!! I think my favorites were the Zebra Moon, Swan Conch, and Carribean Worm shells...so pretty!!! I loved that you labeled them...or your Grandma labeled them! I seen a few of your shells that I used in making my shell candles...like the Giant keyhole shell and Black's Maurea shell. I never knew the names of them...this is just awesome!!! What a treasured keepsake and you have displayed these shell collections so beautifully! I bet they look fabulous in your red, white, and blue room!
Thank you so much for sharing you and your Grandma's shell collection with all of us!!! I loved seeing them!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
What a great collection. I love how you have them displayed. When I go beachcombing and come home with shells, I was them and put them in apothecary jars.
My show n tell is decades old toys. Come on over if you can find time.
Happy Friday.
Very nice collection. We used to be able to find lots of shells on the beach, but not so much anymore.

What a neat collection. And that Sand Dollar, I have never seen on intact on the beach. They crumble so easily. Wonderful that you kept these and that you found a way to display them.

I love seashells. What a nice way to display them.
Oh my gosh! This totally reminded me of 6th grade! Mr. Dejardine's class.....we had to learn all about shells and sea stuff........I wish I could remember all of it now, but hey, that was about a zillion years ago!
All is well here, glad you're doing well.
The weather has been delish! I'm hoping to be able to post my puny little flower pots pretty soon....they need some sunshine, that's for sure.
Blessings,
Spencer
