I spent the day in England.......

I wish I had really spent the day there but I sort of got a little glimpse.

, blog who is an American girl who married an Englishman and happens to live

in the same village my family lived in 50 years ago when I was born there, has been nice enough to answer questions etc. when I found her blog site.

So today she sent me this cool Google map link that now gives you a street level view of the town. It is like you are walking down the streets at street level etc.

It was amazing once I figured out how to use it, sort of like a computer game.

But between my parents and my older brother we determined that she lives right across the street and a house or two over from where the Bungalow was that we lived in.

In fact that was our address back then and are sort of still that way with addresses there; The Bungalow, Church Close, Maids Moreton, Buckingham, England.

My parents still trade Christmas cards with an English family there who also had 2 boys and a girl.

Today really gave me England fever!!

I really dream of going back, one of my Life List things to do, to see it all as an adult and drink it all in, like a good cup of tea!!

Hopefully for one of our anniversaries, Ron and I can do that!!

Or maybe we should move there, this little shack in the same village is for sale!!

St. Edmunds Church in the village, dates back to the 1500's.

My mother always tells me of the holes in the big wooden church doors, still there from some ancient battle.

The old little school in this village. My brother Richard attended school here when
we lived there. It is still there but now is used as a home.

Many of the thatched homes and buildings date back to the 1500-1600's
in the village and are still standing and being lived in etc.
